2011 - Love and Pain Tour - Flyers*

*For an extremely short period of time the “Love and Hope Tour” was actually called the “Love and Pain Tour”. Shortly after BIGBANG announced their tour in Japan the devastating March 11 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami of 2011 struck Japan. Suddenly, there were talks of canceling the Tour all together. Instead of canceling the Tour, and out of consideration to those affected by the tragedy, on April 8, 2011 (1 day after the April 2011 aftershock, the Miyagi earthquake) they changed the name of the Tour to “Love and Hope” to optimistically focus fans on the future and the hope of a quick recovery for their Country. They also announced that they would reduce venue electrical consumption in various ways to aid in a small part with the blackouts and Japan’s rebuilding from the disaster. In addition, YG made a large monetary donation towards relief efforts.
